Latest brainstorm: iTheme - A Drupal iPhone Module

So if you have an iPhone or iPod Touch you probably love it as much as I do. I rarely run into anything I can't do on my iPhone, but the other day I did and it got my brain going. I wanted to be able to administer my Drupal sites effectively, and I wanted to give my customers the same luxury. If you've ever seen the Drupal admin interface then you know what a snake-pit it is. Initially I was a little overwhelmed by all of it and I struggled with how to make it all work on the limited space the iPhone provides. Once I started putting together some ideas in Photoshop and talking some of the problems out with Gordon things started coming together.

What I've come up with is a custom Drupal module that does a few completely awesome things:

1. It detects if you are using a iPhone or iPod Touch.
2. If you are using an iPhone or iPod Touch it applies a custom theme and admin theme.
3. It allows you to develop and use other custom iPhone themes.
4. The admin theme is FREAKING AWESOME and solves the snake-pit problem with intuitive icons, an ingenious favorites list, and some truly thoughtful UI.

In case you couldn't tell I am pretty excited about it. I plan to not only use this for my own sites, and empower my customers with it, but I also plan on offering it to other Drupal developers for free here on Ekin Designs. Stay tuned for updates and additional screen-shots.
